One of our goals is to inspire authenticity in the Latino, Latina, Latinx, and Hispanic communities. We firmly believe that sin verguenza is a big part of that.
Literally translated, sin verguenza means 'without shame'. However, the phrase does not imply that anything goes. We still live in a society that is governed by rules no one should break. Instead, sin verguenza is about each one of us being true to ourselves, our heritage, and our culture – and doing so without shame.
That is why the phrase is so much more to us than just something to put on a T-shirt or hoodie. No doubt it's a great message for all our clothing, accessories, and artwork. But it is a message to live by rather than just wearing across your chest or on your head.
Striving for True Authenticity

When we are being truly authentic, we are also living life without shame. We do not apologize for who we are. That is the way it should be.
If you've ever seen the back of the ¿Quién Tú Eres? T-shirt, you know there is a list of qualities and characteristics that run down the entire length of the shirt. Some of them are crossed out while others have been left alone. The second one on the list is 'assimilate'. It is crossed out, implying that assimilating is not a characteristic one can possess and still be truly authentic.
Assimilation requires surrendering yourself to the collective. Assimilation isn't what America's melting pot is about. It has never been about that. America was, and is, made great by people who have come here from all over the world to become part of what has been called the 'Great American Experiment'.
Making this experiment work doesn't mean giving up our social or cultural identities. It doesn't mean assimilating and becoming like everyone else. Most importantly, being authentic doesn't mean trashing someone else's authenticity because it doesn't agree with ours. In a truly authentic society, no one is forced to assimilate.

Combining authenticity with no shame produces something truly unique. It is not unique in the sense that only one or two people can do it, but rather, each person who lives authentically and with no shame creates a unique experience for him or herself. How can that be? It's easy. No two people are exactly the same. We all have our own unique things that make us who we are.
